People seek counseling for all sorts of reasons, mostly because they find that their attempts to find their own solutions to their problems have been unsuccessful. Some people begin psychotherapy because they are feeling unsettled after a significant event or life change, to deal with unresolved family issues due to problems with children or a spouse. If you or someone you love is suffering from serious mental health issues such as clinical depression, stress or anxiety or is having behavioral problems such as getting into frequent fights or school failure, you or they could benefit from therapy.

I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. My training has included inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and early intervention programs for children, adolescents and adults. I have completed advanced training at Tufts University School of Medicine and the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Research in Boston, MA.

The primary goal of treatment is the resolution of a presenting problem or problems. My practice focuses on relevant, solution-focused approaches to treatment based on a cooperative relationship between myself and the client, couple, or family. I firmly believe that people have the power to change their lives for the better.”
